What it symbolizes: We were held in the bondage of sins darkness.
When the glorious light of the gospel breaks through the dark clouds of sin, we are set free.
Jesus Christ through His shed blood on the cross freed us from the bondage of sin, hence the open shackle.
The chain that bound us to sin is now a bond of love in Christ.
We then wrap ourselves around the cross of Calvary and we are progressively conformed to his likeness.
From the pit to the prison to the palace... The Lord was with Joseph, so too with us.
When it’s all over...We shall wear a crown!
